Artists of the Rust Belt Festival 2009
THANKS!
A HUGE thank you to everyone for making this first Artists of the Rust Belt Festival such a huge success!  It was such a tremendous effort by so many people.  Thank you to all the musicians who put up with some initial sound issues with such a great spirit of patience and then performed with tremendous talent and at times pure determination.  A special thanks to Ralphie Rich for stepping up in akward circumstances to help Barry live the dream!  Thank you to all the artists who paid for this and laid their talent on the line in hopes of reward, I hope it was worth it!  Thank you to Josh and his tall-biker gang it was really cool to see you guys roll in, the people loved it!  Thanks to Theresa and her oh so relaxing massages overlooking the river.  Thank you to Dolly and her family for being a wonderful vendor and serving us all such great food.  A giant thanks to Brent Zitello for his graphics work and for gaining Rock Star status with his craigslist stroke of genius.  Thanks to Shelly Krok and her husband at Krok Printing for the fantastic fliers.  Thank you to Robert Arroyo for providing the ultimate venue for our Rust Belt Festival, the beautiful B&O Station.  Thank you, thank you, thank you  to Judy Fisher for coordinating and manning the auction for two days!  A big giant THANK YOU to Amy who worked tirelessly from early i the morning to early in the morning, and to the staff of the B&O for all the hours of hard work setting up, serving, and cleaning up!  A huge thank you to Kenny Blair for having the vision to support local art and music and inspiring me to take on making this festival happen. Thanks so much to Becky Keck and the staff of the YSU SMARTS program for letting us be part of what they are trying to do for kids.  And finally, a deeply heartfelt thank you to Marcie Applegate and Lisa Zitello, Queens of the Rust Belt,  for their consistent support and hours and hours of hard work in helping me to pull this event together!

And perhaps most of all , the Artists of the Rust Belt thank all of the good people of the rust belt region who came out to enjoy two beautiful art and music filled days in Youngstown, Ohio!

Stay tuned, we are already working on plans for our next events on  September 27th, 2009, February 21, 2010, and June 12th & 13th, 2010!
